Key Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized treatment plans devised by licensed Physical Therapists to enhance patient rehabilitation.
  • Prepare therapy equipment, ensuring that treatment areas are organized and ready before patient sessions.
  • Monitor patient progress by documenting treatment outcomes and communicating critical updates to the therapy team during clinical meetings.
  • Assist with administrative responsibilities including scheduling patient appointments, managing intake processes, and maintaining accurate records in electronic medical records (EMR) systems, specifically WebPT.
  • Educate patients and their families about home care exercises and preventative strategies to promote ongoing recovery.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and interdisciplinary conferences to discuss patient care strategies and outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with patients recovering from a variety of orthopedic conditions, including but not limited to post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. Your role will emphasize empowering patients to regain their independence and improve their overall functionality, making a significant difference in their daily lives.

Qualifications

  • Hold an Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Possess an active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of California.
  • Have a minimum of two years of experience working as a PTA in an outpatient setting or a related environment.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as WebPT.
  • Exhibit strong manual therapy skills and effective communication abilities to foster patient trust and motivation.

Compensation and Benefits
