Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist licensed Physical Therapists during therapy sessions by implementing prescribed treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Guide patients through manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercises aimed at promoting rehabilitation and faster recovery.
  • Educate and empower patients by discussing rehabilitation strategies, exercise routines, and injury prevention techniques to ensure lasting health benefits.
  • Maintain meticulous records of patient progress and adapt treatment plans as necessary to reflect changes in their conditions or objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with team members to coordinate care and support multidisciplinary strategies in patient recovery.
  • Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems, such as WebPT, to document progress notes and treatment updates efficiently.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily focus on treating adults recovering from surgery, sports injuries, and chronic orthopedic conditions. You will work directly with patients suffering from a variety of musculoskeletal issues, helping them regain strength, flexibility, and functional mobility. Your contributions will directly impact their rehabilitation journey, enhancing their overall well-being and quality of life.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of an Associate’s Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Current and active Physical Therapist Assistant license in California.
  • At least two years of practical experience within an outpatient orthopedic setting.
  • Proficient knowledge and experience using EMR systems, specifically WebPT.
  • Strong skill set in hands-on therapy techniques and patient interaction.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working in a fast-paced clinic environment with a diverse patient population.
  • Background in orthopedic therapy and familiarity with injury prevention methods.
  • Ability to mentor newer staff or students, fostering a collaborative learning environment.

Compensation and Benefits
