Position Overview
Senior Flex Therapy Center is seeking a dedicated and licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic team in Fremont, California. As a PTA, you will play a crucial role in supporting the rehabilitation process of our patients, working closely with Physical Therapists to implement treatment plans aimed at enhancing mobility and quality of life.

Work Environment
The position is full-time with a schedule from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a consistent work-life balance. As a PTA at our facility, you will engage with patients in various stages of recovery, having access to state-of-the-art equipment and resources that aid in effective therapy practices. The supportive, therapist-led environment promotes interaction among staff, enhancing teamwork and professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement treatment plans as dictated by supervising Physical Therapists, adjusting interventions based on patient responses and progress.
- Instruct and guide patients through therapeutic exercises, ensuring proper technique and safety throughout each session.
- Accurately document patient responses and therapy outcomes in our electronic medical records (EMR) system, maintaining detailed and organized records essential for ongoing treatment evaluation.
- Prepare therapy areas and equipment prior to sessions, ensuring all necessary tools and items are sanitized and readily available.
- Monitor safety during therapy sessions, being vigilant to adjust exercises and assist patients who may experience discomfort or difficulty.
- Create a positive, encouraging environment to motivate patients in their recovery journey, reinforcing their psychological and emotional well-being.
- Maintain clear communication with the supervising Physical Therapist and the clinical team to support optimal patient care and share insights regarding patient progress.
Patient Population / Client Focus
This role focuses on a diverse patient population, including elderly individuals recovering from surgeries and younger patients recovering from sports injuries. Each case presents unique challenges and requires tailored solutions that you will help deliver as part of a team effort to improve patient outcomes and accelerate recovery times.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid California Physical Therapist Assistant License.
- Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program is required.
- Current CPR/BLS Certification is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively connect with patients and collaborate with team members.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, demonstrating adaptability as patient needs change
Preferred Experience
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant is required, with a preference for candidates who have worked in outpatient settings.
- Although previous outpatient experience is beneficial, recent graduates from accredited PTA programs are encouraged to apply, as mentorship will be provided.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary ranging between $60,000 and $75,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Eligible employees can expect robust health, dental, and vision benefits.
