Work Environment

In this onsite role, you will work in a vibrant hospital-based outpatient clinic equipped with the latest rehabilitation technologies. The typical work hours are Monday to Friday, with flexible timings from either 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and guide patients through prescribed therapeutic exercise regimens, tracking their progress thoroughly.
  • Provide hands-on therapy, utilizing rehabilitation equipment to assist in mobility improvement exercises.
  • Educate patients about their condition, treatment plans, and home exercise programs, empowering them to take charge of their recovery.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of patient records, ensuring compliance with both organizational policies and healthcare regulations.
  • Collaborate with the physical therapy team to modify and adapt therapy plans based on patient feedback and clinical observations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patients you will support are adults recovering from a variety of orthopedic procedures, including but not limited to joint replacements, fractures, and sports injuries. Your role will involve managing a diverse caseload, thereby enhancing your ability to create individualized treatment strategies that address specific patient needs. Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Physical Therapy or a related field, from an accredited institution.
  • A valid Physical Therapist Assistant license in California, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
  • A minimum of two years of experience working as a PTA in an outpatient orthopedic setting, demonstrating an ability to manage varied patient needs effectively.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as WebPT, which is essential for efficient patient documentation.
  • A strong foundation in manual therapy techniques, enabling a more comprehensive approach to patient care.
