You will be part of an interdisciplinary team comprised of physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists. The ideal candidate will enjoy a dynamic and supportive atmosphere, geared toward both professional growth and patient welfare. This role operates on a Monday to Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility to meet the evolving needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist licensed Physical Therapists in designing and executing individualized treatment plans aimed at enhancing patients’ mobility, strength, and daily function.
  • Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and instructional activities, ensuring adherence to prescribed techniques and methodologies while fostering a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Educate and empower patients regarding body mechanics and home exercise programs, crucial for their continuous recovery and lifelong health practices.
  • Administer therapeutic modalities, such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and various heat/cold therapies, while monitoring patient comfort and response under a Physical Therapist's supervision.
  • Document and track patient progress meticulously, detailing improvements in range of motion, strength metrics, and daily functional outcomes.
  • Maintain well-organized treatment areas and ensure that equipment and supplies stay stocked and ready for therapy sessions at all times.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care, optimizing overall treatment effectiveness.
  • Provide emotional support and encouragement throughout patients' rehabilitation journeys, striving to create a motivating and positive treatment environment.
  • Uphold the highest standards of ethical and professional conduct, safeguarding patient confidentiality and rights.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse patient population including individuals recovering from surgeries, athletic injuries, neurological disorders, and age-related challenges. Qualifications

  • Completion of an Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Possess a valid state license or certification to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
  • Strong knowledge base in anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic interventions pertinent to physical therapy.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in delivering therapeutic exercises and modalities, aligned with the guidance from the supervising Physical Therapist.

Compensation and Benefits
