Position Overview

Pro Therapy Services is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to enhance our rehabilitation team in Crystal Bay, Nevada. Work Environment

The PTA will work onsite in our well-equipped hospital, collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physical and occupational therapists, physicians, and nursing staff. The standard work schedule is Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility required to meet the needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the supervising Physical Therapist in the execution of individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique goals and needs.

  • Guide patients through prescribed therapeutic exercises, stretches, and rehabilitation activities, prioritizing methods that enhance strength, mobility, and comfort.

  • Instruct patients in proper body mechanics and exercise techniques to empower them in their home rehabilitation journeys.

  • Administer therapeutic modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy in accordance with established protocols under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.

  • Documentation is crucial; you will regularly track patient progress, concentrating on metrics such as range of motion, pain levels, and overall functional enhancement.

  • Prepare treatment environments, ensuring that all necessary equipment is sanitized and organized prior to patient interactions, aligning with best practices in patient care.

  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to evaluate and adjust treatment plans based on patient responses and outcomes, maximizing rehabilitation effectiveness.

  • Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients, actively fostering a positive rehabilitation experience.

  • Maintain adherence to professional ethical standards, prioritizing patient confidentiality and respect in all interactions.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.

  • Current certification or valid state license as a Physical Therapist Assistant.

  • Solid understanding of anatomy, physiology, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions related to physical rehabilitation.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively build rapport with patients and engage with fellow healthcare team members.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of $50,000 to $65,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
