Work Environment

Working onsite in our clinic, you will be supported by a collaborative team of healthcare professionals dedicated to orthopedic rehabilitation. The facility is equipped with advanced rehabilitation equipment, providing an optimal setting for effective therapy sessions. Your typical work schedule will be Monday to Friday, with flexible hours between 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and execute tailored therapy programs, guiding patients through prescribed exercises to improve strength, flexibility, and overall functional ability.
- Assist in providing hands-on therapeutic modalities and make use of advanced rehabilitation equipment to facilitate patient recovery.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment objectives, therapeutic exercises, and self-management techniques to promote independence in their recovery journey.
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as WebPT, adjusting therapy plans based on patient feedback and clinical assessments.
- Collaborate with physical therapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and to communicate effectively about treatment progress.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your work will primarily focus on patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. By fostering a supportive environment, you will play an essential role in helping individuals regain mobility and improve their overall quality of life. Our clinic serves a diverse patient demographic, including active adults and athletes, as well as older adults seeking recovery from joint replacements or rehabilitation after fractures.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Possession of a valid Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in California.
- A minimum of two years of experience working in an outpatient orthopedic setting, demonstrating a strong foundation in therapeutic techniques.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, to enhance clinical documentation and patient tracking.
- In-depth knowledge of manual therapy techniques and the aptitude to adapt therapy strategies to meet individual patient needs.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in a hospital or outpatient clinic specializing in orthopedic rehabilitation.
- Familiarity with various therapy modalities and adaptive equipment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual compensation for this role ranges from $75,000 to $85,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
