Position Overview
Precision Meridian Health is seeking a dedicated and passionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team in North Chili, New York. Key Responsibilities
- Implementing treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist, which may include therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and various modalities based on individual patient needs.
- Instructing patients on specific physical therapy activities, ensuring they understand how to perform each exercise and use rehabilitation equipment safely and effectively.
- Monitoring each patient’s response to treatments, providing feedback to the supervising Physical Therapist, and suggesting necessary modifications to enhance treatment efficacy.
- Documenting all patient care accurately, including treatment progress and billing information, and obtaining required sign-offs from the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Acting as an essential liaison between patients and therapists, fostering clear communication and understanding about treatment goals and progress.
- Engaging in ongoing professional development to stay updated with best practices in physical therapy and patient care.
- Performing any additional duties as assigned to support team goals and ensure effective service delivery.
Patient Population / Client Focus
The Physical Therapist Assistant role at Precision Meridian Health primarily focuses on a diverse population of patients, including those undergoing oncology treatment, individuals recovering from sports injuries, and those requiring neuromuscular rehabilitation. You will be instrumental in helping these patients achieve their rehabilitation goals through personalized care and dedicated support.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field and graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- At least one year of professional experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant is required.
- Licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in New York State is mandatory.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in oncology rehabilitation is highly preferred, as it aligns with our specialized focus in this area.
- Certification as a Lymphedema Therapist (CLT) or a willingness to pursue this certification is also advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits
