Position Overview
On Point Rehab Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our dynamic team at our outpatient orthopedic clinic located in beautiful San Jose, California. Work Environment
Situated in a modern hospital facility in San Jose, the physical therapy department is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and therapeutic equipment. As a member of our team, you will collaborate closely with a range of healthcare professionals, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and rehabilitation specialists. Our structured schedule promotes a work-life balance, with typical hours from Monday through Friday, either from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. With annual salaries in the range of USD 75,000 to 85,000, we offer competitive pay commensurate with experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized therapy plans designed to enhance patients' mobility and overall physical function.
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, using proper techniques to ensure safety and effectiveness in pain relief and strength improvement.
- Employ hands-on treatments, including modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation, in conjunction with therapeutic exercise regimens to facilitate recovery.
- Maintain precise and organized patient records by documenting treatment sessions in our electronic medical records (EMR) system, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and facilitating effective communication among team members.
- Monitor and inspire patients throughout their treatment journey, adapting interventions based on their progress and feedback.
Patient Population / Client Focus
This position specifically focuses on outpatient orthopedic patients who are recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic pain conditions. Our clientele ranges from athletes seeking to regain peak performance to older adults wishing to maintain mobility. Qualifications
- A minimum of an Associate's Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
