Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
As a Physical Therapist Assistant, your daily responsibilities will include:
- Assisting Physical Therapists in executing individualized treatment plans designed to enhance patients' mobility, improve strength, and restore functionality.
- Guiding patients through prescribed therapeutic exercises and activities while providing ongoing encouragement and support.
- Educating patients on proper body mechanics, exercise techniques, and the importance of adherence to their home exercise programs.
- Administering various modalities—such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy—under the direct supervision of the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Monitoring and recording patient progress, ensuring accurate tracking of improvements in range of motion, strength, and functionality.
- Preparing treatment environments by organizing necessary equipment and supplies, ensuring they are aligned with safety standards.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated care that maximizes patient outcomes and facilitates comprehensive rehabilitation.
- Providing emotional and motivational support to patients, creating a nurturing and positive atmosphere during their therapeutic journeys.
- Upholding ethical and professional standards while maintaining patient confidentiality, respecting individual rights, and enhancing patient trust.
