Key Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist to ensure each patient's unique needs are met effectively.
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and daily living activities, focusing on mobility enhancement and pain reduction.
• Utilize therapeutic modalities, including ultrasound and electrical stimulation, to support patient treatment protocols.
• Continuously monitor patient progress, maintaining accurate documentation of treatment outcomes and relaying pertinent information to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Provide education to patients and their families regarding home exercise programs and approaches to maintain recovery outside of therapy sessions.
• Collaborate with a dynamic healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care and optimal patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your focus will be on a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgeries, chronic conditions, and injuries. As a PTA, you will play a critical role in their rehabilitation journey, utilizing your skills to help them regain independence in their daily lives.

Qualifications

• Education: Must possess an Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Licensure: An active and valid PTA license in the state of New York is required.

Compensation and Benefits
