Position Overview
Life Mission Nursing and Rehab is seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic team in Irvine, California. Key Responsibilities
- Implement Hands-On Treatment: Collaborate closely with physical therapists to deliver individual therapy sessions, including therapeutic exercises, gait training, and modalities designed to improve patients’ strength, flexibility, and overall mobility.
- Monitor Patient Progress: Regularly assess and document patient progress by modifying treatment plans when necessary and providing consistent encouragement to help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.
- Educate Patients: Clearly communicate the purpose and benefits of various treatments and exercises, empowering patients to take an active role in their recovery journey.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work harmoniously with a diverse team including physicians, rehabilitation specialists, and nursing staff to create a holistic care plan focused on the best interests of each patient.
- Accurate Documentation: Maintain meticulous records of patient treatments and progress in compliance with regulatory requirements, which are essential for continuity of care.
Patient Population / Client Focus
This position will primarily involve treating a variety of orthopedic patients, including those recovering from sports injuries, surgeries such as joint replacements, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. You will engage with a diverse group of individuals, ranging from adolescents to elderly patients, all requiring specialized care and attention for their rehabilitation and mobility needs.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Valid Physical Therapist Assistant license in California or eligibility to obtain.
- Commitment to patient care with a compassionate approach to treatment.
- Proficient communication skills to effectively interact with patients, their families, and healthcare team members.
- Detail-oriented mindset essential for ensuring compliance with treatment protocols and patient plans.
Preferred Experience
- A minimum of two years of experience in an orthopedic or outpatient physical therapy setting, providing invaluable hands-on treatment.

Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary between $180,000.00 - $200,000 annually, based on experience, alongside a robust benefits package that includes:
