Position Overview
We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic team at Well Resolve Therapy Assist Ltd in beautiful Torrance, California. This full-time position involves directly contributing to patient care within an orthopedic outpatient setting, where you will play a crucial role in implementing treatment plans devised by the supervising Physical Therapist.

Work Environment
This position is based onsite at our hospital facility in Torrance, an area known for its vibrant community and access to beautiful coastal scenery. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life experience. Key Responsibilities
As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will engage actively in the following responsibilities:
- Implement patient-centered treatment plans as prescribed by the supervising Physical Therapist, ensuring all services are delivered with safety and efficiency.
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patient progress, adjusting treatment approaches as necessary and documenting findings accurately in the electronic health record.
- Utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities, exercises, and interventions tailored specifically to each patient’s unique needs, especially within orthopedic rehabilitation.
- Communicate effectively with families to provide education about therapy techniques, home exercise programs, and discharge plans, fostering a supportive recovery environment.
- Participate in case discussions and interdisciplinary team meetings to present insights and collaborate on optimizing patient health outcomes.
- Maintain a clean and organized treatment area, adhering to all safety protocols and regulatory compliance to ensure a therapeutic environment.
Patient Population / Client Focus
In this role, you will primarily focus on individuals recovering from orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation and sports injuries. The patient volume averages between 1 to 2 patients per hour, allowing for individualized attention and a tailored therapeutic approach. Our goal is to facilitate patients' return to optimal physical performance while educating them about injury prevention and maintenance strategies.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited physical therapist assistant program.
- A current and active PTA license in the state of California.
- Exceptional communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Proficiency in managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting, along with a dedication to fostering a positive healthcare experience.
Preferred Experience
While the required experience includes 2 years of practice in the field, candidates with a background in outpatient orthopedic settings, as well as expertise in exercise, manual therapy skills, and sports rehabilitation methods, will be given preference. Compensation and Benefits
Our compensation package for this role ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 per year, supplemented by a comprehensive benefits package.
