Work Environment

Our daily schedule runs from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, allowing for a balance between professional dedication and personal time.

Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day responsibilities will encompass a range of tasks designed to support our patients effectively:

  • Implement treatment interventions as directed by the supervising physical therapist, adhering to established protocols for safety and efficacy.
  • Provide thorough instruction and counseling to patients regarding therapeutic exercises and home programs, facilitating their understanding and compliance.
  • Assess and identify individual patient needs, demonstrating empathy and adapting communication styles to connect with diverse patient populations.
  • Evaluate and modify treatment plans under the guidance of the physical therapist to promote optimal recovery and enhance patient comfort and safety.
  • Utilize the latest research findings in physical therapy to inform practice and improve patient outcomes through innovative techniques.
  • Completion of accurate documentation and progress notes to ensure comprehensive records that support continuity of care and compliance with regulatory standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily care for orthopedic patients dealing with a variety of conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain issues. Your ability to work with patients of varying backgrounds and experiences will be essential as you tailor your treatment approaches.

Qualifications

Candidates must possess the following qualifications to be considered:

  • A minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant studies or an equivalent degree recognized in the state of New York.
  • An active PTA state license for New York, demonstrating your qualifications to practice legally.
  • Hands-on experience utilizing therapeutic exercises, functional training methods, and physical modalities effectively.

Preferred Experience
