Position Overview
BodySync PT is actively seeking a dedicated and licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our outpatient orthopedic team in Goshen, New York. This is a full-time position with a Monday to Friday schedule, offering the chance to make a significant impact in the lives of patients through effective rehabilitation and personalized care. Key Responsibilities
As a Physical Therapist Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Administering direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, adhering to the treatment plans established for each patient.
- Documenting patient progress and submitting required reports in alignment with departmental policies and procedures.
- Maintaining accurate progress notes and discharge summaries for assigned patients, ensuring a clear and comprehensive record of their rehabilitation journey.
- Responding to emergencies by following established department procedures, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
- Participating in quality improvement activities, such as chart reviews, to enhance service delivery and patient satisfaction.
- Attending family meetings and conferences to discuss the welfare and management of assigned patients, ensuring that families are engaged in the treatment process.
- Performing additional duties as required, contributing to the overall operation and success of the therapy department.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your role will center around patients recovering from orthopedic conditions, including post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal disorders. You will utilize evidence-based practices to help patients regain strength, flexibility, and mobility. Your day-to-day interactions will involve developing therapeutic relationships with patients of diverse backgrounds, adjusting care plans according to individual needs and progress.
Qualifications
- Possession of an active Physical Therapist Assistant license in New York State.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in a clinical setting, particularly in orthopedic rehabilitation.
- Proficiency in therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and rehabilitation methodologies.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong patient-centered approach to care.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems is preferred.
Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
BodySync PT offers a competitive compensation package ranging from $70,000 to $90,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition to salary, we provide:
