Position Overview

Gotham Enterprises Ltd is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our compassionate team at our rehabilitation clinic in West Babylon, New York. In this full-time role, you will be instrumental in providing personalized patient care and supporting the implementation of therapeutic treatment plans aimed at improving patient mobility and overall well-being.

Work Environment

You will be working onsite in a dynamic hospital setting in West Babylon, where collaboration among multidisciplinary healthcare professionals is a cornerstone of our approach. Your schedule will be primarily Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility required to meet the unique needs of our patients and clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Physical Therapist in the execution of individualized treatment plans that emphasize improving patients' mobility, strength, and functional capabilities.

  • Guide patients in performing therapeutic exercises and stretches, ensuring accuracy in techniques to promote physical rehabilitation and pain management.

  • Educate patients on effective body mechanics and exercise methodologies, as well as home exercise programs to bolster recovery efforts.

  • Utilize treatment modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and thermal therapies under the supervision of the Physical Therapist to facilitate healing.

  • Monitor and document patient progress rigorously, noting improvements in range of motion, strength, and functional achievements.

  • Maintain organized treatment areas, ensuring that all therapy equipment and supplies are accessible and ready for use during patient sessions.

  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team—including Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists—to optimize patient care plans and outcomes.

  • Provide emotional support and motivation to patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, fostering a positive and encouraging environment.

  • Uphold the highest ethical and professional standards, ensuring patient confidentiality while respecting their rights and dignity.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is required.

  • A valid state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant is mandatory.

  • Experience and proficiency in administering therapeutic exercises and modalities alongside a supervising Physical Therapist.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges between USD 50,000 and 65,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, you will be offered a competitive benefits package, which includes:
