Position Overview
Gateway Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate full-time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team in Mc David, Florida. In this integral role, you will assist licensed Physical Therapists in implementing tailored treatment plans to enhance patients' mobility, strength, and overall well-being. Work Environment
You will work in our modern, onsite hospital facility located in Mc David, Florida, where a collaborative and patient-centered culture thrives. Our clinic is equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitation equipment and technology, providing an environment conducive to effective treatment. The full-time work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility required to cater to patient needs and clinic operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist licensed Physical Therapists in executing individualized treatment plans tailored to the needs of diverse patient populations.
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities in a supportive and encouraging manner.
- Educate patients on body mechanics and effective exercise techniques to enhance rehabilitation outcomes.
- Administer modalities including electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
- Document patient progress meticulously, tracking improvements in mobility, strength, and functional capabilities.
- Prepare treatment areas efficiently, ensuring that all equipment and supplies are organized and available for sessions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists, to optimize patient care plans.
- Foster a motivating atmosphere by providing emotional support to patients, encouraging them throughout their rehabilitation process.
- Adhere to ethical standards while maintaining patient confidentiality and dignity.
Patient Population / Client Focus
At Gateway Physical Therapy, you will work with a wide range of patient demographics including children, elderly individuals, and athletes, all of whom have varied rehabilitation needs. Qualifications
- Completion of an Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.

Compensation and Benefits
