Position Overview
Pro Therapy Services is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation clinic in Mc David, Florida. This full-time role is centered around providing exceptional patient care and supporting our licensed Physical Therapists in executing customized treatment plans aimed at enhancing mobility, strength, and overall functionality for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist Licensed Physical Therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs, focusing on mobility improvement and functional recovery.
- Guide patients through a variety of therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities, ensuring they understand the proper techniques for maximum benefit.
- Educate patients about body mechanics, safe exercise practices, and home exercise programs that foster ongoing recovery outside of the clinic.
- Administer therapeutic modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapies under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
- Maintain meticulous records of patient progress by documenting essential metrics such as range of motion and strength gains, facilitating seamless communication with the healthcare team.
- Prepare treatment areas prior to sessions to ensure that all necessary equipment and supplies are organized and readily accessible.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists, to coordinate effective patient care and enhance therapeutic outcomes.
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients, fostering a positive environment that motivates them during their rehabilitation journey.
- Uphold ethical and professional standards in all interactions while maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality.
Patient Population / Client Focus
In this role, you will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgery, athletes recuperating from sports injuries, senior patients addressing age-related challenges, and children needing specific rehabilitation services. Each patient presents unique challenges that call for tailored approaches to care, ensuring optimal recovery pathways are established.
Qualifications
- Completion of an Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Possession of a valid state license or certification authorizing practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Strong foundational knowledge of anatomy and physiology as it pertains to physical therapy practices.
- Demonstrated proficiency in administering therapeutic exercises and utilizing modalities under the guidance of the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, vital for building rapport with patients and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.

Compensation and Benefits
Pro Therapy Services offers a competitive salary ranging from $50,000 to $65,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
