Work Environment

Your day-to-day activities will take place onsite at our modern hospital facility, where you will engage in direct patient care. The clinic runs a vibrant outpatient program, primarily focusing on orthopedic cases, ensuring that the team can offer comprehensive rehabilitation services. Working Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, you will enjoy regular hours that support a healthy work-life balance while delivering valuable care to the community.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist Assistant at Resurge Rehab & Therapy, you will:

• Assist in delivering individualized treatment plans as outlined by the supervising Physical Therapist, utilizing various therapeutic techniques and modalities.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, ensuring proper form and adherence to safety protocols.
• Conduct assessments to monitor patient progress and adjust treatment strategies as needed, providing critical feedback to the supervising PT for collaborative care adjustment.
• Educate patients about their prescribed home exercise programs, encouraging adherence to improve outcomes and foster independence.
• Maintain clear and accurate documentation that complies with clinic policies and legal requirements, ensuring that patient records reflect the highest standards of practice.
• Create a positive and supportive clinic atmosphere that emphasizes patient engagement and satisfaction, contributing to an overall positive team morale.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve an outpatient orthopedic patient population, treating individuals recovering from surgery, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Your work will directly impact patient recovery journey, as you assist them in regaining strength and mobility, thus improving their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in a related field, with an emphasis on physical therapy preferred.
• Current and valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Virginia or eligibility to obtain this license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain this certification upon hire.
• Exceptional communication skills, enabling effective interaction with patients, families, and team members.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years' experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is preferred.
• Experience utilizing various manual therapy techniques and understanding of therapeutic exercise principles.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient care accurately.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 to $75,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a robust salary, you will receive:
