Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver hands-on patient care by implementing individualized therapy programs designed by licensed Physical Therapists to enhance patient mobility and functionality.

  • Maintain detailed documentation of patient treatments, progress, and responses in our electronic medical records system, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Educate patients on proper techniques, posture, and customized home exercise programs that empower them to take an active role in their recovery journeys.
  • Work in tandem with physical therapists, clinic aides, and administrative personnel to ensure seamless patient flow and exceptional care delivery.
  • Monitor and assess patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as required, and communicate any changes in patients' conditions to supervising physical therapists and physicians.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with orthopedic patients, including those recovering from surgeries, joint replacements, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. This role demands a keen ability to empathize with patients while employing advanced physical therapy techniques to help optimize their recovery and restore their quality of life.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, preferably from a CAPTE-accredited program.
  • Licensure: Must hold a current and valid New Jersey Physical Therapist Assistant license.
  • Certifications: Current CPR certification is required, or willingness to obtain prior to starting.
