Position Overview
Pro Therapy Services is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at our hospital facility in Edison, New Jersey. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to provide essential patient care while working collaboratively with our physical therapy team to enhance patient rehabilitation outcomes. The salary for this role ranges from $50,000 to $65,000 annually, reflecting our commitment to attracting skilled professionals.

Work Environment
As a Physical Therapist Assistant at Pro Therapy Services, you will work in our state-of-the-art hospital facility, which is equipped with advanced rehabilitation technology and supports a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to patient care. This onsite position operates during standard business hours, Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and may require occasional flexibility in response to patient needs and clinic operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist licensed Physical Therapists in carrying out individualized treatment plans aimed at improving patients' mobility, strength, and overall functionality.
- Guide patients through various therapeutic exercises and activities designed to relieve pain and promote physical well-being.
- Educate patients on effective body mechanics and safe exercise techniques, providing them with accustomed home exercise programs to support their recovery journey.
- Administer therapeutic modalities, including electrical stimulation and heat/cold therapy, under the direction of a supervising Physical Therapist.
- Monitor and document patient progress, maintaining accurate records related to range of motion, strength improvements, and functional capabilities.
- Prepare and maintain treatment areas and equipment, ensuring availability and organization for therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team—comprising Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists—to coordinate comprehensive patient care and optimize rehabilitation efforts.
- Provide emotional support, encouragement, and motivation to patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, fostering a positive and empowering environment.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards, ensuring patient confidentiality and upholding patients' rights.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your work will focus primarily on diverse patient populations, including individuals recovering from surgical procedures, elderly patients seeking mobility enhancement, and athletes undergoing rehabilitation for sports injuries. Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is required.
