Royal Heights Rehabilitation Center is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to enhance our team in Las Vegas, Nevada. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate directly with licensed Physical Therapists to deliver targeted treatment plans aimed at achieving optimal patient rehabilitative outcomes. Work Environment
As a full-time Physical Therapy Assistant, you will be based in our onsite hospital facility, working in a dynamic environment where teamwork and communication are paramount. Your typical work hours will be Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing you to maintain a balanced professional and personal life. Key Responsibilities
- Assist licensed Physical Therapists in administering various treatment methods including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and use of modalities based on individualized patient care plans.
- Provide hands-on support to patients during mobility training and various exercises aimed at enhancing their functional abilities.
- Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, supplying the supervising Physical Therapist with insightful feedback on patient responsiveness to treatment.
- Educate patients and their families on effective use of assistive devices, proper exercise techniques, and essential self-care strategies to foster independence.
- Maintain thorough documentation of treatment sessions in compliance with clinic protocols and regulatory standards.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of patients, monitoring vital signs and delivering care that prioritizes their well-being.
- Engage in collaborative efforts with the clinical team to develop comprehensive care strategies tailored to the diverse needs of our patient demographic.
- Support daily clinic operations to ensure a clean and organized treatment environment conducive to patient healing.
- Communicate openly with patients and families to clarify care plans, expectations, and address any concerns regarding the rehabilitation process.
- Adhere to all clinic policies and regulatory requirements, promoting a patient-centered care ethos.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Our Physical Therapy Assistant will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, neurological issues, and post-surgical rehabilitation. Each patient presents unique challenges and requires individualized treatment approaches to ensure their recovery goals are met effectively.
Qualifications
- An Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program is mandatory.
- Active or eligible licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of Nevada.
- A solid understanding of rehabilitation techniques, treatment modalities, and basic functional movement principles.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills that enable you to effectively communicate with patients, their families, and other members of the healthcare team.
- The ability to work autonomously while being supervised by a licensed Physical Therapist.
