Work Environment

This role is onsite at our hospital-affiliated outpatient clinic, which boasts a friendly, focused atmosphere designed for therapeutic success. Our work hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, creating a consistent schedule that allows for work-life balance. Key Responsibilities

• Implement and follow individualized treatment programs designed by supervising physical therapists.
• Monitor, measure, and document patient progress to ensure the effectiveness of therapy interventions.
• Assist in instructing patients on proper exercise techniques and equipment use to ensure safety and comfort.
• Maintain an organized and hygienic therapy environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary team assessments to evaluate patient coordination and mobility limitations.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families to foster understanding and compliance with treatment plans.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The PTA will primarily work with diverse outpatient orthopedic patients, ranging from athletes recovering from sports injuries to elderly individuals rehabilitating post-surgery. This role requires compassion and the ability to adapt techniques to suit varying abilities, ensuring that patients of all ages feel supported throughout their rehabilitation journey. Understanding each patient's unique needs is crucial to delivering effective care and enhancing their recovery outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current PTA license in Florida, demonstrating compliance with state regulations.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant healthcare field.
• Strong foundational knowledge in manual therapy techniques and treatment modalities.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in an outpatient therapeutic setting, specifically in orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Experience using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT or similar applications.
• Familiarity with therapeutic kettlebell, resistance band exercises, and other physical therapy interventions.
• A track record of working effectively with a wide range of patients, addressing conditions from post-operative recovery to chronic pain management.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 60,000 to 70,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
