Position Overview

Progressive Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated and qualified Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic outpatient orthopedic clinic located in Stuart, Florida. The PTA will work closely with licensed Physical Therapists to implement care plans and monitor patient progress.

Work Environment

The outpatient clinic is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and tools, nestled in the scenic town of Stuart, Florida. As a full-time employee, you will work onsite from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, providing you with a schedule that enhances work-life balance. Key Responsibilities

  • Implement treatment programs as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist, ensuring adherence to established protocols.
  • Assist patients with exercises, mobility techniques, and functional tasks while offering encouragement and education.
  • Monitor and document patient progress accurately, maintaining clear and comprehensive records to be discussed during therapy team meetings.
  • Manage the logistics of therapy sessions which includes preparing equipment, organizing supplies, and maintaining a safe therapeutic environment.
  • Participate in team meetings to foster communication, share insights regarding patient progress, and discuss upcoming treatment goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and other musculoskeletal conditions. Our patient demographic includes a diverse array of ages and backgrounds, presenting unique challenges and opportunities to refine your skills in manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and patient education. You will play a pivotal role in guiding each patient towards recovery through personalized support and targeted interventions.

Qualifications

  • Active Florida PTA license is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy Assisting or a related field.
  • A strong foundation in manual therapy techniques and functional rehabilitation methods.

Preferred Experience

  • A minimum of 2 years of outpatient experience in a physical therapy setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, is desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 60,000 to 70,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
