Position Overview

Progressive Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic team in Palm City, Florida. In this full-time role, you will be instrumental in supporting patients undergoing orthopedic rehabilitation in an upbeat outpatient setting. Work Environment

You will work onsite at our state-of-the-art facility located in Palm City, which provides a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere for both patients and staff. Our outpatient clinic operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a consistent work schedule that promotes work-life balance. The clinic is equipped with modern rehabilitation technologies and tools that facilitate effective therapy sessions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and follow treatment plans devised by supervising Physical Therapists, ensuring adherence to established therapeutic protocols.
  • Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, maintaining accurate records in our electronic medical record (EMR) system, particularly WebPT.
  • Assist patients with exercise routines and therapeutic activities, adapting techniques to meet individual patient needs.
  • Maintain an organized and safe therapy environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are in optimal condition for use.
  • Support assessments related to patient coordination, strength, and mobility, providing valuable insights to supervising PTs for treatment adjustments.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this position will be on outpatient orthopedic patients, ranging from post-surgical rehabilitation to those managing chronic conditions. You will interact with a broad demographic, including children, adults, and seniors, each requiring specialized and personalized care strategies. Your role will be crucial in fostering a supportive and encouraging atmosphere that promotes healing and recovery.

Qualifications

  • Possession of a current Florida Physical Therapist Assistant license is required.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapist Assistant studies is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 2 years of applicable experience in an outpatient rehabilitation setting is essential.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record systems, specifically WebPT, is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated strength in manual therapy techniques and an ability to connect with patients of varying ages and conditions.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
