Key Responsibilities

  • Assist licensed Physical Therapists in implementing effective treatment plans tailored to individual patient goals and conditions.
  • Monitor and document patient progress rigorously, providing timely updates and feedback to your supervising therapist to adjust care protocols as necessary.
  • Teach patients proper techniques for exercises and functional activities, ensuring exercises are performed accurately and safely to maximize benefits.
  • Maintain a focus on patient safety and comfort, creating a supportive and encouraging environment during each treatment session.
  • Collaborate with the broader healthcare team, including physicians and nursing staff, to coordinate patient care, ensuring all aspects of the patient’s health are addressed.
  • Adhere to HIPAA regulations, hospital policies, and state licensing standards, maintaining professionalism and integrity in all interactions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a PTA with Empower Concierge Rehab and PT, you will primarily engage with a diverse patient population, including those recovering from orthopedic surgeries, neurological conditions, sports injuries, and chronic illnesses. Your empathetic approach will be crucial in helping patients navigate their rehabilitation journeys, setting realistic objectives, and encouraging them throughout their recovery process.

Qualifications

  • An Associate’s Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • A valid and current Florida PTA license or eligibility for licensure.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required to ensure the safety of all patients.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills to support collaboration and ensure thorough patient records.
  • A compassionate demeanor and a patient-centered approach, demonstrating a commitment to high-quality care.

Preferred Experience

While prior experience in a hospital or acute care setting is preferred, it is not mandatory. Candidates who bring two years of relevant experience in physical therapy assistance, particularly in rehabilitation contexts, will be given preference. Compensation and Benefits

The starting salary for this full-time position ranges from $55,000 to $60,000 per year, dependent on experience and qualifications.
