Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with licensed Physical Therapists to implement personalized treatment plans aimed at orthopedic rehabilitation.
- Monitor patients’ performance and document their progress meticulously, ensuring adherence to prescribed protocols.
- Educate patients on home exercise regimens and proper techniques to enhance their recovery outside the clinical setting.
- Maintain clear communication with the supervising Physical Therapist regarding patient status, challenges, and goal adjustments.
- Uphold a clean, safe, and positive environment for both staff and patients, adhering to all safety and hygiene protocols.
- Motivate and encourage patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, fostering a supportive therapeutic relationship.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your primary focus will be on a diverse range of patients with orthopedic conditions, including post-operative patients, sports injuries, and chronic pain issues. You will provide patient-centered care, helping individuals regain mobility and independence through hands-on treatment and therapeutic exercises that cater to their specific needs.
Qualifications
- Valid Florida state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) or eligibility for licensure.
- Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program with a strong academic foundation.
- Demonstrated interest and/or experience in orthopedic physical therapy techniques and methodologies.
- Proficiency in therapeutic exercises and manual therapy techniques relevant to patient rehabilitation.
- A compassionate and professional demeanor, dedicated to fostering patient engagement and comfort.
- Exceptional communication and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic clinical environment.
Preferred Experience
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant in an orthopedic setting is highly desirable.

- Strong background in managing post-operative rehabilitation plans and facilitating patient progress assessments.
