Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized therapy programs as designed by the supervising Physical Therapist, focusing on patient-specific goals to improve mobility and function.
  • Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, modalities, and neuromuscular reeducation techniques under the guidance and supervision of the Physical Therapist.
  • Document all aspects of patient treatment, responses, and progress effectively using our electronic medical record system to ensure comprehensive and accurate patient data.
  • Educate patients on techniques for safe movement, proper posture, and home exercise programs, empowering them to maintain progress and reduce the risk of re-injury.
  • Collaborate closely with physical therapists and other healthcare providers to coordinate comprehensive care plans, ensuring all aspects of patient rehabilitation are effectively addressed.
  • Monitor patient progress, proactively adjust treatment plans based on individual responses, and communicate changes to physicians and family members promptly.
  • Assist in the smooth operation of the clinic by supporting clinic aides and administrative staff, promoting an efficient patient flow.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse patient population comprising individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, chronic pain, and neurological conditions. Our primary goal is to provide each patient with a tailored rehabilitation experience that aligns with their specific circumstances and health objectives, fostering a supportive environment that encourages recovery.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree is required, with appropriate coursework and training that support the role of a Physical Therapist Assistant.
  • A valid and current Physical Therapist Assistant license in New Jersey is mandatory for this position.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, between $60,000 and $75,000 annually, contingent upon experience and qualifications.
