Position Overview

Pro Therapy Services is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our supportive team in Pompano Beach, Florida. This full-time position involves on-site work in a hospital environment, providing essential support in helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals. Work Environment

Our facility is located in Pompano Beach, FL, providing a vibrant and supportive workplace for healthcare professionals. In this hospital setting, you will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, comprising Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists, ensuring a holistic approach to patient care. Our daily operations involve a structured schedule, typically Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility to accommodate patient needs and clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist licensed Physical Therapists in executing tailored treatment plans designed to improve patients' mobility, strength, and overall functionality.
  • Lead patients through therapeutic exercises and mobility drills to enhance physical wellness and alleviate pain, demonstrating techniques clearly and encouraging full engagement.
  • Educate patients on correct body mechanics and exercise methodologies, alongside developing home exercise programs that reinforce recovery lessons learned in therapy.
  • Administer therapeutic modalities including electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat or cold therapies, following protocols established by supervising therapists.
  • Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, tracking essential metrics, such as range of motion and strength improvements, to evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans.
  • Prepare therapy spaces for sessions, ensuring that all equipment is sanitized, organized, and ready for immediate use.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes through cohesive and coordinated care, contributing insights from your direct patient interactions.
  • Encourage and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation process, fostering a warm and supportive environment that enhances their journey towards recovery.
  • Maintain ethical practice standards, ensuring patient confidentiality and respect for their rights at all times.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree or Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program is required.
  • Possession of a valid state license or certification to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant.

  • Experience in executing therapeutic exercises and efficient in modality administration under therapist supervision.

Compensation and Benefits
