Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, your daily tasks will include:

  • Assisting Physical Therapists in implementing personalized treatment plans aimed at enhancing patients' mobility, strength, and functional capabilities.
  • Guiding patients through therapeutic exercises and activities, ensuring adherence to proper techniques and safety protocols.
  • Educating patients about the importance of body mechanics, effective exercise routines, and home programs to support their rehabilitation efforts.
  • Administering therapeutic modalities, including electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy, under the licensed Physical Therapist's supervision.
  • Monitoring and accurately documenting patient progress using clinical metrics such as range of motion, strength assessments, and functional improvement data.
  • Preparing and organizing treatment areas and ensuring that all therapy equipment and supplies are readily accessible for optimal session execution.
  • Effective collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care approaches and maximize patient outcomes.
  • Providing emotional encouragement and support for patients, cultivating a positive and motivating healing atmosphere.
  • Adhering to industry best practices and maintaining strict patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
