Work Environment
This position is based onsite at our modern hospital facility, which is designed to create a supportive and therapeutic environment for both our staff and patients. The team atmosphere encourages open communication and collaboration among healthcare professionals, including Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists. The clinic operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility required to meet patient needs and operational demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Physical Therapist in executing individualized treatment plans focused on improving patients' mobility, strength, and overall functionality.
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities aimed at enhancing physical well-being and alleviating pain.
- Educate clients on effective body mechanics, exercise techniques, and home exercise protocols to aid in their recovery process.
- Administer therapeutic modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy, under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
- Track and document patient progress rigorously, noting improvements in range of motion, strength, and functional capabilities.
- Maintain a well-organized treatment area, ensuring that all equipment and supplies are ready for therapy sessions.
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate comprehensive patient care and maximize rehabilitation outcomes.
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients, fostering a motivating and positive environment throughout their rehabilitation journey.
- Adhere strictly to ethical and professional standards, ensuring patient confidentiality and respecting their rights.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Our rehabilitation clinic serves a diverse patient population, ranging from young children needing pediatric rehabilitation to older adults requiring geriatric care. This role requires adapting treatment plans to meet individual patient needs, addressing a variety of conditions and disabilities. You will work hand-in-hand with patients experiencing orthopedic injuries, neurological disorders, and those recovering from surgery, ensuring they receive the personalized care necessary for successful rehabilitation.
Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current and valid state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic practices related to physical therapy.
- Proficient in implementing therapeutic exercises and modalities, preferably under the guidance of a Physical Therapist.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and effectively collaborate within a healthcare team.
- A compassionate, patient-centered approach to care, with a genuine desire to support patients in achieving their rehabilitation goals.
- Ability to adapt treatment plans to cater to the diverse needs of various patient populations.

Compensation and Benefits
The annual salary for this full-time position ranges from $50,000 to $65,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
