Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the Physical Therapist in executing customized treatment plans that enhance patient mobility and strength.
  • Guiding patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities designed to improve physical health and alleviate pain.
  • Educating patients on proper body mechanics and home exercise programs to support their rehabilitation goals.
  • Administering modalities, such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy, under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
  • Monitoring and documenting patient progress by tracking their range of motion, strength improvements, and overall functional gains.
  • Preparing treatment areas and maintaining an organized supply of equipment for seamless therapy sessions.
  • Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team—including Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists—to coordinate and enhance patient care plans.
  • Providing emotional support to patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, fostering a supportive and motivating atmosphere.
  • Upholding ethical and professional standards, ensuring patient confidentiality, and respecting individual rights during treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse patient population that spans all age groups, including children, adults, and the elderly. Qualifications

To qualify for this role, you must have:

  • An associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • A valid state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.

Compensation and Benefits
