Key Responsibilities

• Assist the supervising Physical Therapist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans aimed at improving patients' mobility and functional abilities.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and activities, ensuring adherence to prescribed techniques to maximize recovery and alleviate pain.
• Administer therapeutic modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy under the guidance of the Physical Therapist.
• Document patient progress meticulously, tracking vital parameters like range of motion and strength improvements, updating the treatment plans accordingly.
• Prepare and maintain treatment areas, ensuring that necessary equipment and supplies are organized and readily available for clinical sessions.
• Engage with an interdisciplinary team, including Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists, to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients on proper body mechanics, safe exercise practices, and home exercise regimens to facilitate seamless recovery beyond the clinic environment.
• Provide emotional support and motivation to patients, creating a nurturing atmosphere that encourages their participation and commitment to rehabilitation.
• Adhere to professional standards and ethical guidelines, maintaining patient confidentiality and respecting their rights at all times.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• A valid state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.

Compensation and Benefits
