Work Environment

This full-time position requires you to work onsite at our hospital facility in Peekskill. The work schedule runs Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance while providing essential care to our patients. Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist Assistant at Surpass Rehabilitation Center, you will take on various responsibilities, including:

• Assisting physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment programs for patients with diverse needs.
• Providing hands-on therapeutic interventions, including exercises and manual therapy techniques, to help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.
• Educating patients and their families about exercises, self-care techniques, and strategies to support their recovery.
• Monitoring and documenting patient outcomes and progress during therapy sessions to facilitate ongoing adjustments to their care plans.
• Collaborating with a healthcare team including physicians, occupational therapists, and nursing staff to ensure comprehensive patient care and seamless therapeutic integration.
• Utilizing evidence-based practices and specific techniques such as trigger point therapy when appropriate, to enhance patient recovery and comfort.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse range of patients, including children, adults, and seniors, who may require rehabilitation for various conditions such as post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, chronic pain, or mobility impairments. Qualifications

To be successful in this position, candidates are required to have:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy or an equivalent qualification.
• An active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) state license.
• At least 2 years of experience working as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology, enabling effective communication with the healthcare team.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and a commitment to continuous learning.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills to provide empathetic patient care.

Preferred Experience

Additional experience in specific therapy modalities, familiarity with electronic health records (EHR), or prior hospital-based experience will be highly desirable. Compensation and Benefits
