Work Environment
As a Physical Therapist Assistant in our hospital setting, you will engage directly with patients recovering from orthopedic conditions. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Physical Therapists to execute individualized treatment plans that support the restoration of patients' physical health and mobility.
- Implement therapeutic exercises and techniques, including manual therapy and modalities, in line with the supervisors' guidance, ensuring patient safety and comfort at all times.
- Monitor patient progress meticulously, documenting treatment sessions accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems, which enhances continuity of care and contributes to treatment adjustments.
- Provide education and motivate patients on rehabilitation exercises, injury prevention strategies, and safe movement patterns to empower them in their recovery journey.
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of therapeutic equipment, ensuring all tools are in optimal working condition for effective use during treatments.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, reinforcing the treatment plan and fostering understanding of their recovery process.
- Maintain organized and hygienic treatment areas in accordance with clinic policies, promoting a professional atmosphere for both staff and patients.
Patient Population / Client Focus
You will engage predominantly with patients recovering from surgical interventions, sports injuries, or chronic orthopedic conditions. Your role will be crucial in guiding them through rehabilitation protocols designed to enhance their strength, mobility, and overall independence. Qualifications
- Current Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) License in California.
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field from an accredited PTA program.

- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit to work effectively within a team.
