Position Overview

Pro Therapy Services is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team in Paterson, New Jersey. This is a full-time onsite position within a hospital setting, where you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality rehabilitation services to our patients. Work Environment

Located in Paterson, NJ, our facility is designed to create a welcoming environment for patients and staff alike. As a PTA, you will work closely with a team of experienced Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists. Your day-to-day activities will take place in a hands-on hospital setting, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and therapeutic modalities to facilitate patient progression. The work schedule spans Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional flexibility required to meet our patients' needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Physical Therapists in executing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s specific recovery goals, ensuring a focus on mobility, strength, and functionality.
  • Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and activities, helping them navigate their rehabilitation processes effectively and safely.
  • Educate patients on proper exercise techniques and home exercise programs, fostering independence and understanding in their recovery journeys.
  • Administer various therapeutic modalities, including electrical stimulation, ultrasound, heat/cold therapy, and others, under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, meticulously tracking improvements in range of motion, strength, and functional capabilities.
  • Prepare treatment areas, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are organized and readily available for therapy sessions.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure cohesive and comprehensive care, enhancing overall patient outcomes.
  • Offer emotional support to patients, encouraging them throughout their rehabilitation journey, and creating a positive environment for healing.
  • Uphold high ethical and professional standards, ensuring patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Current and valid state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 50,000 to 65,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
