Position Overview
Pro Therapy Services in Jersey City, NJ, is actively seeking a dedicated and qualified Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic rehabilitation team. Work Environment
This role will be situated onsite at our state-of-the-art hospital facility located in Jersey City, offering a collaborative work environment that emphasizes teamwork among physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals. The typical working hours for this position are Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexible hours to best accommodate patient needs and clinic operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with licensed Physical Therapists to implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs and circumstances.
- Guide patients through a variety of therapeutic exercises, stretches, and specialized activities designed to enhance mobility, strength, and overall function.
- Educate patients and their families on effective body mechanics, exercise routines, and at-home care programs, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery.
- Administer therapeutic modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and cryotherapy under the direction of the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Monitor and accurately document patient progress, noting improvements in range of motion, strength, and functional independence.
- Ensure that treatment areas are meticulously prepared and that all necessary equipment is organized and accessible for therapy sessions.
- Foster positive therapeutic relationships by offering emotional support and motivation to patients throughout their rehabilitation journey.
- Maintain strict adherence to ethical practices, ensuring patient confidentiality and respecting their rights during all interactions.

As a Physical Therapist Assistant at Pro Therapy Services, you will work with a diverse patient population, encompassing individuals recovering from surgeries, neurological disorders, sports injuries, and age-related conditions. Qualifications
- An Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program is required.
- A valid state license or certification to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary for this position ranges from $50,000 to $65,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
