Key Responsibilities

• Administer direct patient care as prescribed by the referring physician or other authorized practitioners, ensuring compliance with established protocols.
• Document patient progress accurately and timely, including maintaining thorough progress notes and discharge summaries in accordance with departmental policies.
• Engage in effective communication with the rehabilitation team to discuss patients’ progress and modify treatment plans based on observed outcomes.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives by reviewing charts and contributing to departmental activities aimed at enhancing patient care.
• Assist in implementing therapeutic modalities and exercises, ensuring patients perform movements safely and effectively to optimize recovery.
• Respond to emergencies in accordance with departmental protocols, prioritizing patient safety throughout all interactions.
• Attend meetings concerning patient welfare, facilitating a holistic approach to rehabilitation alongside family members and caregivers.
• Perform any additional duties as required, adapting to the evolving needs of both patients and the team.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patients you will work with typically present with a range of orthopedic issues, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of New York.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $90,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
