Position Overview
Progressive Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team in Delray Beach, Florida. Key Responsibilities
As a Physical Therapist Assistant, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Implementing treatment plans developed by supervising physical therapists, ensuring accurate execution of therapeutic exercises.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress, maintaining clear and organized records to assist in evaluating treatment effectiveness.
- Providing hands-on support during exercise routines, facilitating activities that enhance mobility and strength.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized treatment environment, including equipment readiness and sanitation protocols.
- Assisting in performing assessments and supporting therapy for improving coordination, strength, and functional mobility.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your role will involve working with a diverse patient population comprising individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, those with chronic pain, and patients with various musculoskeletal conditions. You will engage with patients of all ages, tailoring therapeutic approaches to meet their specific needs, preferences, and rehabilitation goals.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates must have the following qualifications:
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Florida.
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy Assistance or a related field.
- Strong foundational knowledge of manual therapy techniques and rehabilitation strategies.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients and team members.
Preferred Experience
While a minimum of 2 years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is required, we prefer candidates with:
- Experience using electronic medical records (EMR), particularly WebPT, for effective patient management.
- Proven ability to work effectively in fast-paced clinical environments with a patient volume of 1-2 patients per hour.
- A demonstrated understanding of various therapeutic modalities and their application in outpatient rehabilitation.
Compensation and Benefits
