Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed Physical Therapists in conducting initial patient evaluations by gathering relevant data through appropriate tests and assessments.
• Implement and progress individualized treatment plans as directed by the supervising therapist, performing therapeutic procedures that align with patient needs.
• Monitor and document patients’ progress and report any changes in their physical or mental status to the supervising therapist, ensuring each patient receives optimized care.
• Coordinate therapy sessions with other healthcare professionals and community resources to support comprehensive patient care.
• Communicate effectively with patients and provide education to them and their families regarding treatment protocols and home exercise programs.
• Participate in departmental meetings, contributing to continuous improvement of therapy practices and patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a PTA at Vital Body Wellness, you will primarily work with patients who are recovering from a range of orthopedic conditions, including fractures, joint replacements, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Many of our patients are highly motivated individuals seeking to regain their functional independence and improve their overall quality of life. Your support and expertise will play a vital role in their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• Must possess a Physical Therapist Assistant license in Nevada upon hire.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association, required within 30 days of hire.
• 2 years of prior experience in an orthopedic setting is highly preferred.

Preferred Experience

We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience working with orthopedic patients in a hospital or outpatient clinic setting. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and a commitment to a patient-centered approach to care are also advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
