Work Environment

This full-time position requires the Physical Therapist Assistant to work onsite at our hospital-affiliated outpatient clinic. Our schedule runs Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a professional yet balanced lifestyle. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementing prescribed physical therapy treatment programs by conducting therapeutic exercises and utilizing various manual therapy techniques under the direction of licensed Physical Therapists.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, recording responses to therapy and any changes in their condition, thus ensuring adherence to treatment protocols and helping in adjusting plans as necessary.
  • Educate patients on the correct techniques for exercises, including safety precautions and strategies for injury prevention, contributing to their engagement and proactive management of health.
  • Utilize therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and heat/cold therapy effectively in alignment with treatment plans.
  • Maintain meticulous and timely documentation in compliance with clinic standards and regulatory guidelines, ensuring all patient data is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Collaborate with the larger rehabilitation team to ensure coordinated care, assisting in case management discussions and participating in team meetings to promote best practices.

Qualifications

  • Valid Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Nevada.
