Position Overview

Progressive Rehabilitation Center is searching for a dedicated and passionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to elevate our orthopedic outpatient clinic in beautiful Palm Beach, Florida. In this full-time role, you will collaborate closely with our licensed Physical Therapists to provide hands-on care to patients undergoing rehabilitation for various orthopedic conditions. Work Environment

You will be working onsite at our state-of-the-art hospital facility, designed to support high-volume patient care with a focus on comfort and healing. The work schedule is from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule. Our clinic sees an average of 1-2 patients per hour, providing you with the opportunity to develop meaningful relationships and provide personalized care. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementing the treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists, guiding patients through rehabilitation exercises tailored to their specific needs.
  • Monitor and document the progress of each patient, ensuring that updates are relayed to the supervising Physical Therapist for ongoing treatment adjustments.
  • Maintain clean and organized treatment areas, ensuring that all equipment is properly utilized and sanitized in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Provide administrative support, including patient scheduling and coordination of care efforts to optimize clinic workflow.
  • Conduct assessments of functional movement, balance, and coordination, contributing to comprehensive patient evaluations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic primarily serves individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and various musculoskeletal disorders. You will encounter a wide range of patients, from athletes seeking to return to peak performance to seniors recovering from hip replacements. By providing individualized, hands-on care, you will play a critical role in helping our patients regain their mobility and improve their quality of life.

Qualifications

  • Valid Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapy Assistance (or equivalent).
  • Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of Florida.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of therapeutic exercises and manual therapy techniques.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to build rapport with patients and their families.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, with preference given to those familiar with WebPT.

Preferred Experience

  • Minimum of two years of experience working in an outpatient therapy setting, specifically in orthopedic rehabilitation preferred.
  • Hands-on experience in implementing manual therapy treatments.
  • Prior exposure to functional assessments for balance and mobility is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
