The Progressive Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated Orthopedic Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for a full-time position within our dynamic outpatient clinic located in the beautiful city of Boca Raton, Florida. Work Environment
Your role as an Orthopedic PTA will be set in our outpatient clinic, where you will enjoy a supportive and collaborative environment. Operating onsite from Monday to Friday, your work hours will typically range from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The clinic maintains a patient-centric atmosphere, and you'll find yourself part of a dynamic team committed to providing top-tier rehabilitation services. The typical patient volume is manageable at 1 to 2 patients per hour, allowing for focused and quality care delivery.
Key Responsibilities
As an essential member of our rehabilitation team, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Implementing treatment programs designed by supervising Physical Therapists and making adjustments based on patient progress.
- Maintaining meticulous records of patient progress, treatment plans, and session notes to ensure continuity of care.
- Assisting patients with exercise routines and therapy logistics, ensuring they perform activities safely and effectively.
- Organizing and maintaining the clinic environment to uphold safety and cleanliness standards.
- Supporting physical assessments focusing on coordination, mobility, and overall patient well-being.
Patient Population / Client Focus
You will primarily work with orthopedic rehabilitation patients, including those recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal conditions. Our clinic caters to a diverse clientele ranging in age and physical abilities, which means you will engage with patients from various backgrounds and recovery challenges. Your role will be instrumental in guiding them through their rehabilitation, promoting autonomy, and ensuring they achieve their recovery goals.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this position should possess:
- A valid Florida PTA license to practice.
- A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a related field.
- Strong manual therapy skills and a commitment to professional excellence.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and team members.
Preferred Experience

- A minimum of 2 years of outpatient physical therapy assistance experience, specifically in an orthopedic setting.
