Work Environment

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans developed by licensed Physical Therapists, focusing on specific orthopedic conditions.
- Administer therapeutic exercises, utilize manual therapy techniques, and employ various modalities under direct supervision, ensuring patient safety and efficacy.
- Monitor patient progress meticulously, documenting changes and providing insightful input to aid in adjusting treatment protocols as necessary.
- Educate patients and their families regarding therapeutic exercises, methods for injury prevention, and safe movement mechanics to support their recovery journey.
- Set up and operate specialized therapeutic equipment, while maintaining safety standards and proper usage guidelines.
- Keep meticulous patient records and documentation compliant with clinic protocols, ensuring accurate updates of treatment sessions.
- Communicate openly with patients about their treatment plans, addressing concerns and reinforcing confidence throughout their rehabilitation process.
- Maintain a clean, organized treatment area to ensure an effective therapeutic environment and assist with overall clinic operations as required.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your primary focus will be on patients recovering from various orthopedic injuries, including post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. You will engage with a diverse patient demographic, tailoring your approach to meet the unique needs of each individual. Qualifications
- A current Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of California is mandatory.
- Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program is required.
